2-Hour Sticky Oven BBQ Beef Ribs (Tender, Saucy & So Easy!)

2-Hour Sticky Oven BBQ Beef Ribs (Tender, Saucy & So Easy!)

There’s nothing cozier than a tray of sticky, fall-apart BBQ beef ribs roasting away in the oven. This is one of those set-it-and-forget-it recipes that fills your home with the smell of sweet, smoky sauce and warm spices. It’s perfect for chilly nights, easy weekends, or when you want a hearty comfort meal without fussing over the grill.
These ribs are slow-baked until tender, then basted with more BBQ sauce so they come out glossy, sticky, and absolutely irresistible. The best part? You only need a few ingredients and a bit of patience.
Ingredients
-
1 rack of beef ribs
-
3/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favourite brand works great)
-
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
-
Aluminum foil
Instructions
1. Marinate the Ribs
Place the rack of ribs on a baking pan. Slather generously with BBQ sauce and sprinkle all over with Cajun spice.
Cover and let it marinate for at least 1 hour — but if you can do overnight, the flavour gets even deeper and richer.
2. Start Baking (High Heat = Great Colour)
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Cover the ribs tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour on the middle rack.
3. Slow Bake for Tenderness
After the first hour, lower the heat to 375°F (190°C) and bake for another 1 hour, still covered.
This slow-and-steady step is what makes the meat tender and juicy.
4. Uncover + Baste
Remove the foil. Baste the ribs generously with more BBQ sauce.
Place back into the oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes until sticky, caramelized, and glossy.
