'Better than Your Average PB&J' Carmelized Banana Peanut Butter Sandwich
Bananas are a great source of vitamin C, manganese, and potassium. They are good for your skin, digestive system, and super energizing. We love them carmelized in our peanut butter sandwich for breakfast or a snack. They are sweet and delicious in this fun Banana Peanut Butter sandwich, a little upgrade from the old classic loved PB&J. Give this easy recipe a try.
Banana Peanut Butter Sandwich
total cooking time: 10 mins serves: 2
ingredients
- 1 banana, sliced thinly
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 slices of white non-GMO bread
directions
- preheat a non-stick pan on medium/high, add butter, brown sugar and cinnamon, combine well
- cook butter for 2 minutes, add sliced bananas
- caramelized and brown bananas on both sides, about 3-4 minutes on each side, remove, set aside
- toast two slices of white bread spread peanut butter on one slice,
- add caramelized bananas, top with the second slice of bread,
- cut in half and serve with a tall glass of milk (repeat for second sandwich)
- enjoy!
