Steel Cut Oatmeal with Fruits and Nuts - The Breakfast of Champions

Perfect Steel Cut Oatmeal Recipe

I love oatmeal in the mornings. Its high in fiber and rich in protein, oatmeal can be fun and nutritious when served with fruits and nuts. I enjoy having steel cut oats, they're a little higher in fiber than rolled or quick oats. They're also the lowest on the glycemic index out of the three oats, which makes them best for blood sugar control.  Oatmeal is also great for clarifying the skin and improving digestion.

Skip the prepacked quick oatmeal that are full of sugar. Steel cut oats are made by cutting the oat groats instead of flattening the oats, its has a unique taste and texture. It takes about 20 minutes for them to cook but spend the extra time for a delicious and healthy morning. A staple for horses, its the breakfast for champions. Try this quick recipe!
