Ground Beef Chow Mein Recipe

Ground Beef Chow Mein

serves 2 total cooking time 30 mins


ingredients
  • 1 cup ground beef or 1 beef patty
  • 1/2 carrot diced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1/4 cup cabbage shredded
  • 1/4 red sweet pepper diced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil, divided
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 ramen packs
directions
  1. preheat a wok on medium/high
  2. add 1 tsp sesame oil or cooking oil, add grated ginger
  3. add ground beef or patty, add salt and pepper
  4. break up and cook until brown/done, set aside
  5. add 1 tsp sesame oil, add garlic and veggies, cook until wilted
  6. in a small bowl add soy sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar, mix well
  7. return beef and ramen to the wok, add sauce mixture
  8. incorporate everything well
  9. taste ramen, if it's still hard. add 1/4 cup water, cover, and let cook until noodles are soft
  10. serve warm, garnish with sesame seeds
