Costco Kirkland's Smokey BBQ Oven Roasted Chicken Copycat

The last few days of the COVID-19 quarantine have brought a lot of anxiety to many Canadians. In times like this when we are overwhelmed and worried, its tough to make dinner. With this recipe, you can have Costco's Kirkland oven-roasted bbq chicken at home without having to leave home.

If you know me, you know that I love Costco! One of the best things about Costco is their ready-to-go oven-roasted chickens. They are always so tender and juicy, full of smokey bbq flavour, I had to figure out how to make it at home. As an avid Costco member, I discovered that pairing the Costco’s Kirkland BBQ sauce with their chicken is the secret to their famous Costco Kirkland style oven-roasted chicken. Give this quick recipe a try!

Costco Kirkland Style Oven Roasted Chicken

total cooking time: 50mins serves 2-3

instructions

• 1/2 Costco chicken (frozen)
• 1/2 cup Costco Kirkland bbq sauce 
• salt and pepper

directions

1. set oven to 350
2. line a baking tray with aluminum foil
3. lay chicken down, wing up
4. generously glaze the chicken with your favorite bbq sauce
5. bake chicken in the middle rack for 30 minutes, remove and glaze with bbq sauce
6. turn up to 425 bake for another 17-25 minutes until golden brown or done
7. serve warm with your favorite sides
8. enjoy!
