Better than Chinese Take-out Tender Pepper Steak Beef Stir-Fry

Amazing Pepper Steak Stir-Fry

ingredients
- 2 steaks, sliced thinly
- 1 large red pepper, cut into large 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup broccoli florets, cut into large 1-inch pieces
- 1 small onion, cut into large 1-inch pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed and minced
- 2 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- sesame seeds (optional garnish)
- 2-3 portions of cooked rice
- on medium/high heat, add 1 tbsp of cooking oil and 1 tsp of sesame oil
- add red peppers, broccoli, onion, and 1 crushed clove of garlic
- let cook down, about 4-5 minutes, remove and set aside
- scrap wok and discard bits, add 1 tbsp of cooking oil and steak
- cook until done, about 5 minutes
- meanwhile, in a small bowl combine, cornstarch, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, 3 cloves of crushed garlic and grated ginger, mix well
- return peppers and onion to wok, add sauce and combine well
- let cook for 5 minutes
- serve over cooked rice
- garnish with sesame seeds and green onions
- serve immediately
