Sweet and Flavorful Crunchy Honey Garlic Chicken on Egg Noodles
Sweet and flavourful, this double crunchy honey garlic chicken recipe is one of my favorites. It's super easy and delicious. Give this recipe a try for your next dinner idea!
Crunchy Honey Garlic Chicken Pasta
total cooking time: 40 mins serves 2-3- 2 chicken breast
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion salt
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 3-4 cloves of garlic minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/4 sweet red pepper diced
- 1 green onion, cut long, into 4 pieces
- 3 portion egg noodles or rice cooked per direction
- cook rice or pasta, per direction, set aside
- in a medium bowl, add 2 eggs and 3 tbsp of water, mix well, set aside
- in another medium bowl, sift, flour, paprika, onion salt, oregano, chili powder, grated ginger, and pepper, mix well, set aside
- slice chicken breast horizontally to make two thinner pieces, place in a ziplock bag, and beat thin
- season with salt and pepper
- preheat a medium skillet on medium/high
- add about 1 inch of cooking oil
- take one piece of chicken and drench in egg mixture, then batter, return to egg mixture and finish with batter once again
- place in hot oil, cook each side for 5-6 minutes until done and golden
- remove and soak excess oil with a piece of paper towel
- for the sauce, preheat a small saucepan on medium, add olive oil and garlic, let cook for 1 minute, add honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and pepper, cook for 3 minutes, add sweet pepper and green onions - heat until well combined
- on a plate, layer egg noodles or rice, chicken, and drizzle with sauce
- garnish with sesame seeds
