Better than Chinese Take-out Easy Beef and Broccoli Stir-fry

ingredients
- 1 flank steak, cut thinly
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 1 large onion
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tbsp cornstarch, divided
- 2 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 3-4 bowl jasmine rice
directions
- cook rice per direction, keep warm, set aside
- in a bowl toss mix 2 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tsp grated ginger, 2 tbsp water, coat steak slices
- in a small bowl mix together, 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 2 tbsp brown sugar and 1/2 cup water, set sauce aside
- using a wok, on medium/high heat, add sesame oil and 1 tbsp grated ginger
- add beef, cook until done, set aside
- add onion, cook until almost soft, add broccoli, continue to cook until soft
- return beef, add sauce, incorporate well, let cook for 5 minutes
- serve with rice and garnish with sesame seeds
