Easy Vietnamese Beef Pho Noodle Soup - The Easiest Recipe
I love making Vietnamese Pho Beef Noodle Soup especially in winter. The rich and aromatic spices always reminds me of my mom’s cooking. Usually pho takes a very long time, but I’ve simplified the recipe so that I can enjoy pho any day of the week. Still made with ginger, garlic, fish sauce and cinnamon, this delicious easy Vietnamese Pho will for sure become a family favourite. Give this super easy noodle soup recipe a try!
Aromatic Vietnamese Pho Noodle Soup
serves 2-3 total cooking time 1 hr
ingredients
- 1 beef chunk
- 1 onion, halved
- 5 garlics
- 3 lemongrass, crushed
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp rock sugar
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- water
- cooked noodles
directions
- in a medium pot, add cooking oil
- sear beef, onion, garlic and ginger
- add lemongrass, cinnamon stick, fish sauce and rock sugar
- add water, bring to a boil and then down to low, simmer for 1 hr
- make noodles
- when ready to serve, remove beef, slice thinly
- in a bowl add noodles with beef, using a strainer, add broth
- garnish with chopped parsley
