I've been helping friends and family look for new jobs, it's one of the most stressful things someone has to do. Everyone dreads having to write your resume and cover letter! But is a cover letter necessary? YES! Your cover letter is your introduction and it really helps you stand out. Here's a sample cover letter to help you get your dream job.
But the cover letter is the key to getting your interview!
Trust me you need to include a cover letter, coming from a human resource expert, who has been hired for many big companies and seen thousands of resumes, I always read every cover letter.
A cover letter is a personal introduction, it gives the hiring manager a glimpse of who you are and whether you are worth their time. The truth is, hiring managers to go through hundreds of resumes before they feel great about one candidate! Don't let your resume get lost in the pile, always include a cover letter! It doesn't just show the company that you are serious about the position but also allows you to explain why you're perfect for the job. Show them that you understand what they are looking for. Go the extra mile, let them know what you're about with your personalized cover letter!

Dear Hiring Manager,
I would like to express my interest in; state your object and the role you're applying for. Describe a philosophy of the company, how you relate and/or admire what they care about and do. -- Take the time to understand the company.
Start with stating your current role. Choose three important job expectations from the new position job post that you're applying for. State the most important expectation first, describe how your current skills will help you achieve this job requirement. – Repeat with the two other job expectations and how you can achieve them based on your past experience. Mention your other previous role, skills, or major accomplishment relative to the role you are applying for. In conclusion, - summarize what skills you have acquired from these past positions and how they made you a more qualified candidate.
Reintegrate your performance and list two qualities that make you a well-rounded individual. ex. With an outstanding track record in sales and team building, I will be the best candidate for the position. I have included my resume for your review. I look forward to discussing my qualifications further. Thank you for your time and consideration.
