Classic Dinner Homestyle Meatloaf
This quick and easy original 'Homestyle Meatloaf' recipe will be a definite family favorite. I like to serve it with warm mashed potatoes and corn. Yum!
Homestyle Meatloaf
serves 3-4 total cooking time: 60 mins
meatloaf ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 oatmeal
- 1/4 tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 slice bread soaked in milk
- 2 tbsp Italiano spice or 1/2 tsp of oregano, paprika, sage, thyme, garlic salt, onion salt
- salt
- pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard
- preheat oven to 375 degree
- grease a small baking pan
- combine meatloaf ingredients, set aside for 5 minutes
- in a small bowl make the glaze by combining ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard
- place the meatloaf on a baking pan, layer the ground beef tightly together in a loaf form
- glaze the meatloaf and place in the oven for 1 hr, add more time if your meatloaf is really thick
- remove meatloaf let sit for 5 minutes
- add more glaze and serve with mashed potatoes, corn, and green beans!
