Restaurant Style Japanese Chicken Yakisoba


This quick and easy recipe is one of my favorite noodle dishes. It's super simple and delicious. Give it a try!

Chicken Yakisoba Recipe

Japanese Chicken Yakisoba

Serves 3 Total Cooking time: 30 mins




ingredients
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1 cup cabbage
  • 1 carrot   
  • 2 mushrooms
  • 5-6 snow peas
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil, divided
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 2 package of ramen noodles
direction
  1. bring a small pot to boil, cook noodles for 2-3 minutes, rinse, add 1 tbsp sesame oil, toss, set aside
  2. prepare chicken, thinly sliced, set aside
  3. prepare veggies, thinly slice the yellow onion, cabbage, and mushroom
  4. using a cheese grater, grate the carrot, clean the snow peas and remove to ends
  5. in a small bowl, combine soy sauce, water, ketchup, sesame oil, brown sugar, and chili flakes, whisk well
  6. preheat a wok on medium/high, add 1 tbsp sesame oil, add ginger, saute for 30 second
  7. add chicken, cook until golden
  8. add onion, cabbage, carrot and snow peas, cook until wilted
  9. add mushrooms, continue cooking for 1 minute
  10. add noodles and sauce, mix well and cover for 4 minutes
  11. serve warm and garnish with sesame seeds
