Restaurant Style Japanese Chicken Yakisoba
This quick and easy recipe is one of my favorite noodle dishes. It's super simple and delicious. Give it a try!
Japanese Chicken Yakisoba
Serves 3 Total Cooking time: 30 mins
ingredients
- 1 chicken breast
- 1 medium yellow onion
- 1 cup cabbage
- 1 carrot
- 2 mushrooms
- 5-6 snow peas
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp sesame oil, divided
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 2 package of ramen noodles
- bring a small pot to boil, cook noodles for 2-3 minutes, rinse, add 1 tbsp sesame oil, toss, set aside
- prepare chicken, thinly sliced, set aside
- prepare veggies, thinly slice the yellow onion, cabbage, and mushroom
- using a cheese grater, grate the carrot, clean the snow peas and remove to ends
- in a small bowl, combine soy sauce, water, ketchup, sesame oil, brown sugar, and chili flakes, whisk well
- preheat a wok on medium/high, add 1 tbsp sesame oil, add ginger, saute for 30 second
- add chicken, cook until golden
- add onion, cabbage, carrot and snow peas, cook until wilted
- add mushrooms, continue cooking for 1 minute
- add noodles and sauce, mix well and cover for 4 minutes
- serve warm and garnish with sesame seeds
